Dr. Saha is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry & Physics at Simmons University. She is the PI and director of the NASA-supported DREAM WSTEM program at Simmons University, Boston, Massachusetts. Her research interests span over material science, medicinal chemistry, and environmental chemistry. She is passionate about undergraduate (UG) research, mentoring, science education, and empowering women and underserved communities to diversify STEM fields. She has over a decade of experience in student-centered innovative teaching & learning practices that include Course-based Undergraduate Research Experience, CURE), Open Educational Resources (OER), and SoTL research (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) activities. She has extensively worked towards the self-efficacy, motivation, persistence, and academic advancement of UG students by engaging freshmen students in inquiry-based research. She has been a University System of Georgia-Chancellor Learning Fellow, NSF-REU & McNair scholar mentor, ACS Science Coach instructor, director of Simmons SURPASs UG research program, and member of HHMI-Inclusive Excellence Learning Community partner. Dr. Saha is the winner of the prestigious 2021 Felton Jenkins, Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty Awards by the Board of Regents University System of Georgia.
