Stephanie Arthur is an Assistant Professor of Instruction at the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. Stephanie teaches methods courses in the field of Science and STEAM methods while simultaneously supervising pre-service teachers in their field internships. She advocates for innovative teaching practices that foster inclusive excellence in learning environments with pre-service and in-service teachers. With a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from USF, Stephanie’s research focuses on the integration of generative AI to support teachers in enhancing their pedagogical approaches and enhancing inclusive student engagement in STEAM disciplines supported by a convergence education framework.
Stephanie's commitment to responsive pedagogy emphasizes the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) model, equipping future educators with the tools necessary to navigate the complexities of modern classrooms to prepare them for the careers of today’s work environment. In her role, Stephanie collaborates with local schools to design professional development programs that empower teachers to effectively integrate technology into their science curricula. She believes that leveraging Generative AI can revolutionize teacher preparation, providing personalized resources and insights that enhance instructional practices and promote critical thinking among students.
