Dr. Hwayeon Ryu is Associate Professor of Mathematics at Elon University in NC. She received both M.A. and Ph.D. in mathematics from Duke University.
Dr. Ryu's research interests are focused on mathematical modeling and analysis of dynamical systems arising from other disciplines, like systems biology, neuroscience, immunology, epidemiology, or sociology. Her work is currently supported by the National Science Foundation research grant, DMS-2151990. She also has a great passion for the development of a bridge curriculum and program between mathematics and biology.
