Nicola Edwards, Ph.D., is an associate professor of mathematics education in the division of Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science (PEMaCS) at Delaware State University. She has a master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences, and a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Mathematics Education from the University of Delaware. Her research interests include K-16 mathematical proficiency, problem-based learning, pre-service teacher training, undergraduate-level professional development for mathematics instructors, and cultural pedagogies.
