Dr. Brett K. Simpson an Associate Professor of Chemistry at Coastal Carolina University earned a B.A. degree in chemistry from Augustana College and a Ph.D. degree in analytical chemistry from Iowa State University. He has taught at Coastal Carolina University since 2002 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2008. His research interests are currently focused on student motivation, exam-less approaches to assessment and ungrading in the chemistry classroom.
