Eugenia Villa-Cuesta, PhD. (She/Her/Ella) is the director of Undergraduate Reserach and Creative Works and an Associate Professor of Biology at Adelphi University. She obtained her Ph.D at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, in Spain, and did her postdoctoral work at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She was named Outstanding Biology Professor in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and Faculty Advisor of the Year for the department of biology in 2016. In addition, she was awarded the Teaching Excellence Award for untenured faculty in 2018 at Adelphi University. She recives support for her reserach and teaching efforts from the NIH and NSF.
