Eric P. Chang, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Pace University.
Dr. Eric Chang received his bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech in 2008 and his doctorate in Photochemical Science from Bowling Green State University in 2013. He performed his postdoctoral training in New York City, first characterizing novel biomaterials at the NYU College of Dentistry, then specializing in enzymology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. While at Einstein, Eric received the Institutional Research and Academic Career Development Award, which supported his research and provided formal pedagogical training and mentoring from experienced educators at Hostos Community College and Lehman College. Eric began working at Pace University in 2017 as an Assistant Professor and was recently tenured and promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. At Pace, he teaches several courses, including general chemistry and biochemistry, mentors undergraduate and master’s students in exploring possible drug targets for the apicomplexan parasite Cryptosporidium parvum, and serves in leadership roles in faculty governance and faculty mentoring programs.
