Dr. Robert Shields serves as Assistant Director of the Teaching and Learning Center at California Baptist University (CBU) in Riverside, CA. In this role, he prepares faculty to teach online and use technology effectively. Robert also serves as Associate Professor of Computer Information Technology and faculty advisor for the CBU student chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). Prior to his faculty role, he served as CBU’s Online Learning Systems Administrator, where he managed and supported the university's learning management system. Robert has more than 20 years of professional experience in higher education. He earned his doctorate in educational leadership from California State University, Fullerton. Robert is married with four children.
