Josee Védrine-Pauléus, Ph.D., Department of Physics & Electronics, University of Puerto Rico at Humacao (UPRH).
Dr. Védrine-Pauléus is professor at the Department of Physics and Electronics (Departamento de Física y Electrónica). Her research group works on device applications based on organic polymeric materials, flexible substrates, imaging of nanostructures and systems with atomic force microscopy (AFM) analysis, and most recently wearable device research (CAWT). Dr. Vedrine currently serves as PI for the DIVAS proposal, NSF-HSI funded, and as co-director for the Center of Inclusive Teaching and Learning.
Josee Védrine-Pauléus received her Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Brown University. She went on to work as a consultant at the World Bank Institute and joined the initial development team to establish The Nelson Mandela African Institute of Science and Technology (NM-AIST). She returned to academia as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Professor Richard Register at Princeton University working with block copolymeric materials to fabricate nanostructures on semiconducting materials. She held joint adjunct faculty positions at Brooklyn College in Physics, and Business Administration departments before joining UPR-Humacao.
